Many riders who don’t constantly ride at the limit find the initial contact between the footrest and the ground while cornering on a new motorcycle unpleasant. The fear of a sudden loss of traction can be alarming. You instinctively straighten the bike—even if it isn’t necessary. This increases the turning radius and can lead to dangerous situations. This should be avoided. However, footrest contact is generally harmless—modern motorcycles are equipped with fold-up footrests to prevent this type of situation. Often, motorcycles are designed so that—when an engine guard is present—the footrests and the guard touch the ground almost simultaneously at a lean angle that is not critical. However, it’s important to keep in mind that various factors—such as the motorcycle’s load or riding over a dip or pothole—can reduce the available angle. For riders who want early warning signals as they approach the limit, Wunderlich has developed our lean indicators, which screw easily onto the outer side of the stock enduro footpegs. Once installed, the lean indicators trigger a tactile signal much earlier, at a lower angle. This gentle, clear feedback signals that the limit is approaching, but that there is still a safety margin. They enhance safety and confidence.

Color: Stainless steel
Motorcycles are often designed so that—when an engine guard is installed—the footrest and the guard both touch the ground simultaneously when cornering, which is not critical in terms of tire grip.
For riders—whether beginners or experienced—who want reliable and early feedback before reaching the physical limit in a turn, we have developed our lean angle indicators.
The optimized feedback provides more margin in turns and improves active safety.
The indicators trigger a tactile signal at the foot at a lower lean angle, signaling the limit earlier—especially with a loaded motorcycle or when riding over dips or potholes.
They calmly indicate that there is still a safety margin before reaching the limit.
They reduce the fear of losing control and thus boost confidence and a sense of safety.
Our 100% mechanical solution works regardless of conditions.
The indicator is designed to offer low resistance and a sensitive, precise, and safe response.
Simple installation—simply screw the indicators onto the outside of the original BMW enduro footrests. The lean angle indicators improve riding comfort and active safety on the road.
Plug & Play: Easy installation with the included mounting hardware and detailed instructions.

For added safety, we recommend using the tilt indicators with the original enduro footpegs in combination with the following Wunderlich engine guards:
