Question 1

Why should I install a kickstand enlargement on my R 1250 GSA?

Accepted Answer

The heavy wet weight of the R 1250 GS Adventure can cause the factory side stand to sink into soft dirt, sand, or hot asphalt. A kickstand enlargement plate increases the surface area to ensure stable parking on unpredictable terrain.

Question 2

Can I fit standard R 1250 GS protection parts onto my GSA model?

Accepted Answer

While many engine and drivetrain components are identical, bodywork, crash bars, and fuel tank dimensions differ between the standard GS and the GS Adventure. Always verify model-specific compatibility before ordering.

Question 3

What are the benefits of upgrading to an Akrapovič slip-on exhaust?

Accepted Answer

An Akrapovič slip-on exhaust reduces overall weight, improves heat dissipation compared to the stock unit, and optimizes exhaust gas flow, resulting in a deeper exhaust note and smoother throttle response.
