Question 1

What is the difference between frame sliders and crash bars?

Accepted Answer

Frame sliders are compact pucks designed to slide and absorb minor impacts on tarmac, keeping the frame off the ground. Crash bars are steel tube cages offering wider coverage, making them better suited for adventure riding and tip-overs on loose terrain.

Question 2

Why should I mount spindle bobbins on my motorcycle?

Accepted Answer

Spindle bobbins shield the lower fork legs, swingarms, and brake calipers during a slide. Keeping these vital parts off the asphalt prevents costly structural damage to your suspension.

Question 3

How do guard materials affect slide performance?

Accepted Answer

High-density polymers like POM slide easily across asphalt to prevent high-side flips. High-strength steel and billet alloy brackets provide the structural integrity needed to prevent guards from shearing off under high loads.
