Question 1

Why do aftermarket motorcycle mirrors vibrate less than stock ones?

Accepted Answer

High-quality aftermarket mirrors are milled from dense billet alloy rather than molded plastic. This added weight and stiffness helps deaden engine harmonics, preventing the glass from vibrating and blurring your rearward view.

Question 2

What is the benefit of blue-tinted mirror glass?

Accepted Answer

Blue-tinted glass reduces glare from low-angle sunlight and the bright LED headlights of vehicles behind you. This helps reduce eye strain and maintains clear vision during night rides or bright days.

Question 3

What do I use to cover the holes left when removing fairing-mounted mirrors?

Accepted Answer

Specialized mirror caps, or block-offs, seal the empty mounting points on your fairings. This maintains clean aerodynamics, keeps moisture out of the bodywork, and gives your bike a neat look for track days.

Question 4

Should I choose bar-end mirrors or standard handlebar mounts?

Accepted Answer

Bar-end mirrors move your viewing field outward, clearing your shoulders from the sightline for a wider view. Standard mounts keep the bike's profile narrower, which is useful for filtering through tight spaces.
