The engine protection bar not only protects the cylinders and valve covers, but also the two lambda sensors. The all-round protection concept improves passive safety and contributes to driving pleasure. In the event of a fall or rollover, the forces are optimally distributed via the structure of the protection bar to the robust mounting points, which prevents force and torque peaks and effectively reduces stress on the material. The engine protection bar is made of 25 mm precision steel tubing. The segments are formed on CNC bending machines and then carefully welded. Visually, the bar blends harmoniously into the design of the motorcycle and emphasizes its distinctive look. For our crash bars, the protective function and product design are paramount. The bar hugs the boxer engine and enhances your BMW in an elegant way. Its surface is powder-coated in black, ideal for those who prefer a discreet appearance.

PLEASE NOTE: Wunderlich offers a black spacer (part number 26441-202) as a recommended optional addition to the engine protection concept. Compatibility notes: The engine protection bar is not compatible with the original BMW rocker cover. Applies only to the R 1250 GS: the mounting kit part number 26442-300 allows the engine protection bar to be installed even with the Option 719 machined valve covers – to be ordered separately. Alternatively, the original skid plate can be removed.
